Thank You for Your Service, Rabbi Dror

At the December meeting of the JRB Board of Trustees, Chair Rabbi Felipe Goodman announced that, after 20+ years, Rabbi Gilah Dror retired from Rodef Sholom Temple in Newport News, Virginia. She plans to spend her retirement in Israel and decided not to serve another term on the JRB Board.

Rabbi Goodman took a moment to reflect on Rabbi Dror’s many contributions to the JRB over her 11-year tenure. “Rabbi Dror is a trailblazer. An appointee of the Jewish Theological Seminary, she was just the third woman to have served on the JRB Board. She chaired the Communications Committee for many years as well as serving on the Budget Committee, Investment Review Committee and Nominations Committee. She always asked inciteful questions and provided wise counsel on the many issues that came before the Board. Thank you, Rabbi Dror, for your involvement and dedication to the financial well-being of those working in the Conservative Movement.”
