At its December 16, 2021 meeting, the JRB Board of Trustees unanimously passed a resolution honoring the accomplishments of Gary Rosenthal on his retirement from the Board.

“Your efforts on behalf of the JRB were immeasurable and contributed greatly to the huge success we have achieved,” stated JRB Board Chair Rabbi Joel H. Meyers.

JRB Board 1st Vice Chair Scott H. Kaplan continued: “Today we come together to pay tribute to Gary Rosenthal who completes 21 years of service to the JRB. His kindness, loyalty and commitment resulted in a stronger, more productive and successful organization which has benefitted its members as well as the Conservative Movement as a whole.”

Mr. Rosenthal represented the USCJ on the Board. As long-time chair of the Budget Committee and member of the Audit and Finance Committees, Gary brought his banking industry experience to the JRB’s financial management.

“It has been a pleasure working with you, Gary,” JRB CEO Mitchell J. Smilowitz stated. “Your care and keen insight always added constructive guidance not only to me, but to the entire staff. We are forever grateful. Toda Raba.
